What Chamartín is like
Northern district with a dual character: financial hub around Plaza de Castilla and the Cuatro Torres, and quiet residential neighbourhoods such as El Viso and Nueva España. Good transport (Chamartín-Clara Campoamor, several metro lines) and a broad range of schools and hospitals. Calm atmosphere outside working hours. High prices, though slightly below Salamanca. Excellent transport thanks to the Cuatro Caminos interchange. Uneven safety depending on the street, and rising prices driven by demand pressure. A good option for those seeking a central location and connectivity at a slightly lower budget than Chamberí or Salamanca.
